ABOUT CLEAN 85

Built Here. Built to Work.

Our story started in Tuscaloosa in 1985 with a pressure washer, a problem, and the decision to figure it out ourselves.

Four decades later, that same mentality drives Clean 85 Service & Supply. We manufacture professional cleaning chemicals, supply the equipment that puts them to work, and build products around problems our customers actually need solved.

The name has changed. The operation has grown. The mentality hasn't.

OUR ROOTS

Before TSC, There Was Tuscaloosa Steam Cleaners.

Clean 85 traces its roots back to 1985, when Tuscaloosa Steam Cleaners began as a pressure washing business serving the Tuscaloosa area.

Running that business exposed a problem firsthand: professional pressure washing equipment, repair service, parts, and cleaning chemicals weren't always easy to find locally.

So instead of waiting for somebody else to solve the problem, we started solving it ourselves.

That need eventually grew into TSC Service & Supply.

THE STORY

Built Through Change.

1985

Tuscaloosa Steam Cleaners Is Born

What started as a pressure washing business quickly exposed a bigger problem: there were few local sources for pressure washer repair, parts, or professional cleaning chemicals. Instead of waiting for someone else to fill the gap, the company began building those capabilities itself.

1991

TSC Service & Supply Is Incorporated

Tuscaloosa Steam Cleaners evolved into TSC Service & Supply, bringing equipment, repair, supplies, and professional cleaning chemicals together under one business.

2011

The Building Didn't Make It. The Business Did.

The original Kicker Road location was destroyed in the April 27 Tuscaloosa tornado. The company survived, rebuilt, and kept moving.

CLEAN 85

A New Identity Takes Shape

As manufacturing expanded, the chemical line grew, and TSC began serving more industries, the business needed an identity that reflected what it had become. Clean 85 was the next evolution.

GROWTH

The Business Kept Growing.

Clean 85 expanded deeper into automotive detailing, fleet washing, industrial cleaning, specialty chemicals, bulk supply, wholesale, and private-label manufacturing.

TODAY

Clean 85 Service & Supply

Today, Clean 85 manufactures and supplies professional automotive, fleet, industrial, and commercial cleaning chemicals alongside equipment, bulk products, wholesale programs, and private-label solutions.

THEN • TSC SERVICE & SUPPLY
NOW • CLEAN 85
THE EVOLUTION

From Service & Supply to Clean 85.

Clean 85 wasn't created to erase where we came from. It was the next step.

TSC Service & Supply had been selling chemicals for years alongside equipment, service, and supplies. As that side of the business grew, so did the product line, the industries we served, and the amount of chemistry we were developing and manufacturing ourselves.

Automotive detailing, fleet washing, industrial cleaning, specialty products, private label, and bulk supply became a much bigger part of what we did.

The name changed because the business had changed.

Today, TSC Service & Supply is still the company behind Clean 85. Same roots, bigger operation, and a hell of a lot more soap.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

Products Should Earn Their Place.

We don't build products just to fill shelves. They have to solve real problems for real people doing real work.

01

Solve the Problem

If it doesn't make a hard job easier, faster, safer, or more reliable, we don't need another bottle taking up shelf space.

02

Prove It in the Real World

A label can promise anything. We care what happens when the product gets put to work. Performance earns the second order.

03

Listen. Then Make It Better.

Some of our best ideas start with a customer saying, “You know what you guys need to make?” We listen, test, adjust, and keep improving.

PROVEN WHERE IT MATTERS

We Earn the Business.

Relationships with demanding customers aren't built with a clever advertisement. They're earned by showing up, solving problems, supporting the equipment, and proving the chemistry where it matters.

THE CLEAN 85 WAY

Serious Chemistry. Not-So-Serious People.

We take the products seriously. Ourselves, considerably less so.

Around here, straightforward names like Formula 85 sit next to Hotbox Hero, Bugged Out, Slick Rick's, Dirty Bird's, and whatever questionable idea makes it through the shop next.

The names might be ridiculous. The artwork might get a little out of hand. Someone may occasionally ask why there's a bulldog running security.

But behind all of it is one rule we don't screw around with:

The product has to work.

“
Around here, we believe a product should earn its place on the shelf. It should solve a problem, make a hard job easier, and work every damn time you reach for it.

STILL TUSCALOOSA

Built Here. Built to Work.

Clean 85 has grown from a local service and supply company into a manufacturer serving detailers, fleets, businesses, and industrial operations across the country. The name changed. The products changed. The building sure as hell changed. But we're still right here in Tuscaloosa, solving problems, making things that work, and earning the next order.

The Company Behind the Chemistry

We've spent a lot of time talking about what we make, where we came from, and who we work with. But Clean 85 is still a small group of people in Tuscaloosa getting shit done, solving problems, making chemicals, fixing equipment, answering phones, delivering orders, and occasionally creating problems for ourselves that didn't exist twenty minutes earlier.

So, since you've made it this far, you might as well meet the people responsible.
